General Role Permissions

General role permissions control which features and administrative functions a user can access in SEI. Each permission below is grouped by area. Assign only what each role actually needs.

Administration

These permissions cover system-level configuration. Assign them only to users who manage global settings, security, templates, or data infrastructure.

Permission	What it does
Manage Security	Access all security settings, including users, groups, domains, authentication, and roles.
Manage Global Parameters	Create, edit, and remove global parameters.
Manage Global Variables	Create and manage global variables for calculations, filtering, or dynamic content.
Manage Distribution	Configure and manage scheduled distribution jobs.
Manage External Locations	Setup and maintain external file transfer locations for exports.
Manage Global Scripts	Create, edit, and run global scripts.
Manage Application Links	Configure links to external applications.
Manage Global Selection Pages	Create and manage reusable selection pages.
Manage License Information	View and maintain license details and usage.
Manage Dictionnary	Edit language dictionaries for translation and localization.
Languages	Manage available languages for content and interface translation.
Manage Excel Publish	Control which data models are published to the Excel Add-in.
OLAP Manager	Create, build, and refresh OLAP cubes.
Create Installation Template	Create reusable installation templates for deployment.
Manage Installation Template	Edit or configure existing installation templates.
Import Template	Import templates into the environment.
Manage Data Warehouse	Configure data warehouse connections and settings.
Manage Reporting Trees	Create, edit, or delete reporting trees for custom reporting structures.
AI Management	Monitor and manage Nectari Copilot usage across the organization, including credit consumption per user, feature usage, and credit limits.
Manage DataSync Access	Configure the DataSync URL that makes the DataSync Access button functional.
Manage Settings	Access and configure settings, including notifications, dashboard resolution, and logging.
Manage SMTP	Configure the SMTP server used for email notifications.

Navigation Panel

These permissions control what users can organize and create in the navigation panel.

Permission	What it does
Organize Navigation Panel Data Models	Arrange and group data models in the navigation panel.
Organize Navigation Panel Views	Arrange and group views in the navigation panel.
Create Data Model	Create new data models from the navigation panel.

Folder

These permissions control who can organize and manage folders.

Permission	What it does
Create	Create new folders to organize views, dashboards, or other items.
Rename	Change the name of existing folders.
Delete	Remove folders and all their contents.

Dashboard

These permissions control what users can do with dashboards.

Permission	What it does
Rename	Change the name of an existing dashboard.
Change Publish for	Change the published target or audience for a dashboard.
Change Owner	Reassign dashboard ownership to another user.
Lock or Unlock	Lock or unlock a dashboard to restrict or allow editing.
Open	Open and view a dashboard.
Create	Create a new dashboard.
Design	Access dashboard design features to customize layouts and widgets.
Save As	Save as a new file the dashboard under a different name.
Delete	Delete a dashboard.
Subscribe to Distribution	Subscribe to scheduled distributions of dashboard content.
Add other emails in To, CC and Bcc	Add extra email recipients when distributing a dashboard.
Send Comment	Send comments on a dashboard to other users.
Export	Export a dashboard to a file such as PDF or Excel.
Print	Print a dashboard.
Use Filtering Function	Apply filters to dashboard data.
Remove Filters	Clear applied filters from a dashboard.

Reports

These permissions control what users can do with reports.

Permission	What it does
Rename	Change the name of an existing report.
Change Publish for	Change the distribution audience or published target for a report.
Change Owner	Reassign report ownership to another user.
Lock or Unlock	Lock or unlock a report to restrict or allow editing.
Open	Open and view a report.
Create	Create a new report.
Design	Access report design features to customize layouts and content.
Save As	Save as a new file the report under a different name.
Delete	Delete a report.
Subscribe to Distribution	Subscribe to scheduled report distributions.
Add other emails in To, CC and Bcc	Add extra email recipients for report distribution.
Send Comment	Send comments on a report to other users.
Export	Export a report to a file such as PDF or Excel.
Print	Print a report.
Use Filtering Function	Apply interactive filters to report data.

Excel Add-in

These permissions control what users can do with the Excel Add-in.

Permission	What it does
Formula wizard	Build and edit NecAccess formulas to retrieve data into Excel.
Formula drill-down	View the detailed records behind a formula result.
Data Entry	Write modified values back to the source system.
Link to formula	Create dynamic hyperlinks using Application Links in Excel.
Pivot Table	Analyze multidimensional data in Excel using in-memory cubes.
Pivot Table Refresh	Refresh data in existing Pivot Tables.
Duplicator	Copy formulas or layouts across dimension values.
Data Extraction	Extract live data from external sources into Excel.
Data Extraction Refresh	Refresh extracted datasets to update data in Excel.
Prompt	Select dimension values as filters for formulas or extractions.
Quick Prompt	Quickly apply dimension filters for formulas or extractions.
Create Static Copy	Generate a fixed snapshot of current data in Excel.
References Configuration	Define and manage references for published data models and environments.
Change Password	Update the Excel Add-in connection password.
Open View	Access published server views relevant to the current formula selection.
Refresh Formulas	Refresh all formulas to retrieve updated data.
Data Model Configurations	Map data models between Central Points for accurate data sources.
Environment Configurations	Switch and manage environments in the Excel Add-in.
Reporting Tree Selector	Select hierarchies for dynamic report filtering.
Reporting Tree Node Selector	Choose reporting tree nodes to filter results.
Reporting Tree Duplicator	Duplicate tree nodes or entire trees for batch reporting.

Workbook

These permissions control what users can do with workbooks.

Permission	What it does
Copy Folder	Copy an existing folder containing workbooks.
Rename	Change the name of a workbook or folder.
Create	Create a new workbook or folder.
Save As	Save as a new file the workbook under a different name.
Writeback	Create writebacks, add action buttons, and send modified values back to the ERP.
Delete	Delete a workbook or folder.
Ribbon	Access the workbook ribbon and its actions.

OLAP Manager

These permissions control access to OLAP Manager features.

Permission	What it does
Add and Save Cube	Create new OLAP cubes and save their definitions.
Copy and Delete Cube	Duplicate or remove existing OLAP cubes.
Navigation	Browse OLAP cubes and their structures.
Build	Generate OLAP cubes from underlying data sources.
Load All	Load data into all available OLAP cubes at once.
Refresh	Update cube data by reloading from source tables.
