The login page is accessible through the Web Server URL configured during SEI installation. Two authentication methods are available: Basic Authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO). Before signing in, you can select your preferred language from the dropdown in the top-right corner.
After a successful login, your session stays active for 36 hours without requiring you to sign in again.
Version information
The top of the login page shows the current Version, Release, and Build numbers of your SEI installation. These identify exactly what is running on your server.
- Version is the major version of the application.
- Release is the minor version, covering enhancements and fixes.
- Build is the specific build number used when contacting support.

What is a Central Point
The Central Point is the core repository of SEI. It stores all data configurations, data models, visualizations, user access, and security settings. When you select a Central Point on the login page, you are choosing which environment and dataset you connect to. If your organization runs multiple Central Points, for example one for production and one for testing, you switch between them here.
Single sign-on (SSO) options
SSO lets you log in using your organization's existing identity provider instead of a separate username and password. This requires SSO to be configured on the server by an administrator before it becomes available on the login page.
To sign in with SSO:
- On the login page, select External Accounts.
- Select your identity provider from the list.
- Complete the authentication through your SSO provider.
