Export
The Export feature lets you download the current version of your open visualization. Before exporting, make sure that your page setup is configured correctly to guarantee the optimal display in the exported file.
You can export content from views, dashboards, reports, and workbooks.
When to export a visualization
- Sharing data: Provide information to people who don't have access to the platform.
- Analyzing and archiving: Work with data offline or keep a long‑term record of your results.
- Preparing presentations: Add charts or dashboards to slides or documents without recreating them.
- Integrating with other systems: Use your data in external tools, automated workflows, or third‑party services.
Export a view, dashboard, or report
For dashboards, image quality also depends on the dashboard resolution scaling setting on the Settings page. Higher scaling increases resolution and file size.
- Open the worksheet, chart, dashboard, or report that you want to export.
- Double-click it, or select Open from the context menu.
- In the Toolbar on the right, select the sharing icon to expand the menu.
- Select Export.
- In the dialog, choose an export format. Available formats vary by visualization type:
- Worksheet – PDF, Excel (.xlsx), Excel (.xls), CSV, XML
- Chart – PDF, Excel (.xlsx), PNG
- Dashboard – PDF, Excel (.xlsx), PNG
- Report – PDF, Excel (.xlsx), Excel (.xls)
- Click Confirm.
- When the download notification appears, select Download.
- The file is generated using the current page setup (if applied) and saved to your browser's default download folder.
note
Starting with Version 2023 Release 8 (July), HTML export is no longer supported.
