Dedicated BI Account
A dedicated Windows user account named NecBIAccount is created for use by IIS websites that run SEI Server. This account is selected by default during installation to simplify setup and provide a secure, application-specific identity.
Using the default NecBIAccount is recommended because it eliminates the need to create a custom service account before installation. NecBIAccount is configured with a non-expiring password and is intended only for use with SEI, which improves both security and maintainability.
Do not use the characters = or ; in any installer fields, as this may cause installation issues.
Account behavior and use
NecBIAccount operates as a standard Windows user account. Unlike custom accounts, it is created automatically by the SEI Server installer when needed.
If NecBIAccount is created for the first time, a server restart is required to enable Excel Add-in distribution features.
