Acumatica

The Acumatica template provides a ready-to-use set of data models, views, dashboards, and workbooks. Choose the installation approach that best suits your organization's environment.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites

Before you start, ensure you have:

• Acumatica: A supported version installed.
• Destination database: Collation set to SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS (match Acumatica if separate).
• Application Pool: If using a custom identity for Acumatica, use the same for DataSync.
• DataSync: A supported version installed.
• HTTPS certificate: If Acumatica uses HTTPS, bind DataSync to a CA-approved certificate.
• Installation package: Latest package from ShareFile.

Installation scenarios

Choose the path that matches your environment:

Scenario	Description	When to choose
Non-SEI Cloud Integration	Uses DataSync to synchronize your data to a warehouse managed outside the SEI Cloud. The template reads from this synchronized source.	For organizations that want to manage, store, and report on their data independently, without using the SEI Cloud.
Consolidated	Uses DataSync to centralize information from multiple Acumatica companies into a unified warehouse for group-level reporting.	For organizations managing multiple Acumatica companies needing combined or group reporting.
SEI Cloud	Data is synced to the Cloud via DataSync. The template connects to Cloud-hosted data warehouse. Credentials are provided after cloud provisioning is complete.	For distributed teams or those preferring no local server maintenance.

Cubes configuration

If you want to use the Sales and Finance cubes, some installation steps require additional sub-steps. Follow the instructions in each scenario for details.

Installation steps

Scenario 1: Non-Cloud Integration

Use DataSync to synchronize your data, then configure SEI:

1. Create the source connections
2. Create the destination connection
3. Configure the global variable
4. Upload the project into Acumatica
5. Import the synchronization extractions
6. Import the cube extractions
7. Schedule the extractions
8. Set up the data sources in SEI
9. Import the template
10. Build and load the OLAP cubes

Scenario 2: Consolidated

Set up DataSync for multi-company consolidation:

1. Create the source connections
2. Create the destination connection
3. Configure the global variable
4. Upload the project into Acumatica
5. Import the consolidation extractions
6. Import the cube extractions
7. Schedule the extractions
8. Set up the data sources in SEI
9. Import the template
10. Build and load the OLAP cubes

Scenario 3: Cloud

Use DataSync to send your data to the Cloud and complete setup online:

1. Create the source connections
