Dashboard Properties

Dashboard properties control the overall appearance, layout, and behavior of the entire dashboard. Use dashboard properties to apply a theme across the dashboard, configure filter panel placement, and set global behaviors such as automatic data refresh.

This is different from view properties, which control the formatting, display, and behavior of individual views such as charts, tables, or maps. View properties affect only a specific view within the dashboard and do not change the underlying view stored in the data model.

Edit dashboard properties

1. In the Toolbar panel, select Edit Dashboard.
2. Select Dashboard Properties. The Properties panel opens.
3. Adjust the properties in the Data, Design, and Advanced Options tabs.
4. Save your changes.

Design properties

Property	Description
Theme	Set the overall theme for the dashboard. By default, the theme is Nectari.
Custom Background	Select a custom background color for the dashboard.
Filtering panel	Enable the filtering panel and set its position to Top or Bottom..

Advanced options

Property	Description
Auto Refresh	Enable automatic data refresh and set the refresh interval in seconds.

Edit view properties

You can change the properties of each view on your dashboard. The available options vary depending on the view type. Changing a view’s properties here affects only the view in the current dashboard. The original view in the data model remains unchanged. This allows you to customize how the view appears for a specific dashboard without modifying its default definition.

For example, you might adjust chart colors and labels to match a dashboard theme, reformat a table to highlight key columns, or set prompts that apply only when the view appears in a particular dashboard.

Access views properties

1. In the Toolbar panel, select Edit Dashboard.
2. Select a view in your dashbaord and click the Properties icon.
3. Adjust the parameters in the Data, Design, and Advanced Options tabs.
4. Save your changes.
