Breaking Changes​

  • Upgrading to Version 2026 Release 1 makes SEI incompatible with earlier versions of the Excel Add-in.
  • SEI License Server.exe is removed starting Version 2026 Release 1.

Improvements​

Charts​

  • Groups and Columns are renamed as Categories and Series to align with standard terminology.
  • New Autofit property available for Pie, Funnel, and Doughnut charts to automatically scale content to fit available space. 34346

  • Added options to change label font family and size.

Dashboards​

  • Filtering Panel updated with a modern design.
  • Upgraded the dashboard grid system from 24×24 to 192×96 squares for increased layout flexibility.
  • Edit mode tile toolbar now appear on hover, providing a unified experience with view mode.
  • Edit mode now includes static gridlines for easier arrangement and a banner indicating edit mode status.
  • Dashboard tiles now use standardized headers with title, subtitle, and divider across all views.
  • Added customization options for tile borders and spacing.
  • Added the ability to set the background color for dashboards.
  • Edit mode tile toolbar now includes copy/paste functionality for quick application of headers and styles across tiles.
