Installation scenarios
Choose the path that matches your environment:
| Scenario | Description | When to choose |
|---|---|---|
| Direct production database access | All configuration is performed in SEI, connecting directly to your live production Sage 300 database. | For a small or single-company setup needing only light, real-time reporting. |
| Via replicated data warehouse | Production data is replicated to a data warehouse using DataSync. The template then reads from the warehouse. | For many users or frequent/complex reporting needs, to avoid slowing the main Sage 300 database. |
| Consolidated | Combines real-time access and DataSync replication using consolidation for central, multi-company reporting. | For organizations managing multiple Sage 300 companies needing combined or group reporting. |
| SEI Cloud | Data is synced to the Cloud via DataSync. The template connects to Cloud-hosted data warehouse. Credentials are provided after cloud provisioning is complete. | For distributed teams or those preferring no local server maintenance. |
Cubes configuration
If you want to use the Sales and Finance cubes, some installation steps require additional sub-steps. Follow the instructions in each scenario for details.
