Embed SEI in Acumatica

Easily embed SEI within Acumatica to give users seamless access to analytics and reporting, directly from their ERP workspace. This integration streamlines workflows and supports secure, unified login through single sign-on (SSO).

Add SEI to Acumatica

Embed the entire SEI application within Acumatica to provide users with integrated analytics and reporting. The steps below show how to create a dashboard, publish it, and embed SEI as a full-page application.

Create a dashboard

  1. Log in to Acumatica.
  2. Select Customization from the menu. If you do not see it, click More Items to show additional options.
  3. Under Profiles, click Dashboards.
  4. Click the + icon to add a new dashboard.
  5. Enter a name for the dashboard.
  6. Click the magnifying glass next to Owner Role. A list of roles appears.
  7. Under the Guest Role column, check Administrator.
  8. Click Select in the dialog.
  9. Select Save in the top left to save the dashboard. Now, you can publish the dashboard.

Publish the dashboard to the UI

  1. Select Publish to the UI.
  2. Next to Workspace, click the magnifying glass to choose the workspace where you want to add the dashboard to (e.g., Finance, Inventory, or Marketing).
  3. Click Select.
  4. Select Publish.

Embed the page

  1. Select Finance from the menu.
  2. Under Dashboards, open the dashboard you created.
  3. Click Add a new widget, then select Embedded Page.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Enter SEI URL in the Source field. To access the URL, log in to your SEI and copy paste the full URL from your browser. To use the mobile interface URL, change M=False to M=True in the URL.
  6. Enter a caption.
  7. Click Finish.

Add a visualization to a dashboard

Select the view

  1. Log in to SEI.
  2. In the Command Center, select the visualization (chart, map, worksheet, or report) you want to embed.
  3. In the Toolbar panel, select the Sharing icon.
  4. Select View External Link. The visualization opens in a new tab.
  5. Copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar.

Embed the view to a dashboard

  1. In Acumatica, select Dashboards from the menu.
  2. Open the dashboard where you want to embed the view.
  3. Click Design in the top right and select Embedded Page.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Paste the URL in the Source field.
  6. Enter a caption.
  7. Click Finish. The view now appears in the dashboard within Acumatica.

Add SEI as a menu item

Create the SEI icon

  1. In Acumatica, select the three dots at the bottom of the menu and click Edit Menu.
  2. Select Add Workspace to open the dialog.
  3. Next to Icon, select Dashboard from the dropdown list.
  4. Next to Area, select where you want to add the dashboard.
  5. Enter SEI for the menu icon name.
  6. Click Ok.
  7. Select Add Menu Item to open the next dialog.
  8. Search for the dashboard where you embedded SEI and select it.
  9. Click Add & Close.

Pin SEI to the menu

  1. Select More Items from the menu.
  2. Select the area where you added the dashboard and click the pin icon to the right corner. SEI now appears as a menu item in Acumatica.
