Manage Variables

Use the Variables module in DataSync to add, modify, or remove variables that can be reused in extractions, filters, queries, and calculated fields. Managing variables from this page ensures consistent values across your extractions and allows quick updates without editing multiple statements.

Add variables​

  1. From the welcome screen or left navigation pane, select Variables.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter a name for the variable.
  4. Select the variable type from the dropdown list, such as Boolean or String.
  5. Assign a value corresponding to the selected type.
  6. Click Save.

Manage an existing variable​

Edit an existing variable​

  1. In the Variables page, find the variable you want to edit.
  2. Point to the Name, Type, or Value field for that variable, and then select the pencil icon that appears.
  3. Make the required changes. The changes are saved automatically.

Delete a variable​

  1. In the Variables page, select the variable you want to delete.
  2. Click the trash icon on the top-right corner.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, select Confirm.
