Nectari Copilot for Data Models

The Nectari Copilot in data models provides insights about the structure, content, and design of your data models. It can explain the available dimensions and measures, describe how tables are linked, clarify calculation logic, and help you choose the right data model for your reporting needs.

You can ask questions while working in the Data Models and Views tab, and it will use the metadata and design information from the selected data model to provide context-specific answers. Nectari Copilot is not available in the Data Model Designer — open a view from the Data Models and Views section and ask your questions there.

It focuses on answering your questions and explaining your data — it can analyse and answer questions, but it cannot make changes to a data model’s configuration.

Data model features​

Data models organize business data in a simplified way, showing what information is available, how it’s connected, and how it can be used. From a data model, you can access multiple views, dashboards, reports, and workbooks built on a consistent structure. Some actions — such as creating, editing, or linking tables — can only be performed by an administrator.

  • Design and configure – Define structure, relationships and properties.
  • Dimensions and measures – Identify descriptive and numeric fields.
  • Tables and joins – View tables and link them with key fields.
  • Fields – Set properties, formats, visibility, and calculations.
  • Data model parameters – Input values for filtering or adjustments.
  • Stored procedures – Run predefined database operations.
  • Info pages – Display supplementary data or context.
