Select Dimensions and Measures

Selecting dimensions and measures defines how your cube organizes and processes data. Dimensions are descriptive fields (such as Product, Customer, or Date) that determine how measures are grouped for analysis. Measures are numeric fields (such as Sales Amount, Quantity, or Margin) that provide the values to be aggregated.

Accurate selection ensures the cube produces meaningful reports and calculations, and improves performance by only including relevant fields.
