Upgrade the Excel Add-in

The Add-in can be upgraded directly, without uninstalling the previous version first. To avoid compatibility issues, the installed Add-in version should always match the SEI Server version.

Check for updates from the ribbon​

Starting with Version 2026 Release 9, a New Version Available button in the ribbon indicates when a newer Add-in version is available. Clicking it downloads the installer package for the latest version.

Upgrade using the installer​

  1. Close all open instances of Microsoft Excel.
  2. Run the new Nectari/SEI Excel Add-in installer directly.
  3. (Optional) Monitor installation or troubleshoot using log files if needed.

Version 2023 Release 2 or earlier

Upgrading from these versions requires uninstalling the previous Excel Add-in from each workstation first, then installing the new version using Nectari Excel Add-in – x64.exe (or SEI).
