Project Accounting
The Project Accounting dashboard for Sage Intacct consolidates project financials, including revenue, costs, profitability, and completion progress. It helps you monitor project performance and financial health across categories, statuses, and locations.
How to use the project accounting dashboard
- Track project revenue, cost, and margin to see how profitable each project is running.
- Compare actual costs against budgeted amounts to catch projects going over budget.
- Group projects by status and category to see what's active, in progress, completed, billable, or under contract.
- Rank projects and locations by net income to find your strongest performers.
- Monitor completion percentage to track how far along each project stands.
Filters
Use the filtering panel at the top of the Project Accounting dashboard to control which data is shown. The filters apply to all views and ensure the dashboard reflects the selections you choose.

Key performance indicators (KPIs)
The key performance indicators (KPIs) are displayed at the top of the dashboard. They show project revenue, cost, profitability, and completion status, and update based on the filters you apply.

| Project Gross Profit | Gross profit from projects, calculated as revenue minus costs. |
| Project Gross Margin | Gross profit as a percentage of project revenue. |
| Project Net Income | Net income from projects after all project-related expenses. |
| Project Cost | Total expenses incurred in project execution. |
| Project Observed % Completed | Percentage of completion based on observed progress. |
