The CFO Financial Performance Overview dashboard for Sage Intacct covers performance, profitability, liquidity, and leverage using year to date financial indicators, comparing current year figures against last year. It helps you evaluate operational performance, capital efficiency, and financial risk across core balance sheet and income statement metrics.

How to use the CFO financial performance dashboard​

  • Assess overall financial performance using year to date revenue, gross profit, and net income.
  • Monitor profitability ratios like ROA, ROE, and ROCE to understand how effectively capital and assets are generating returns.
  • Track liquidity through working capital, current ratio, and cash and AR levels to evaluate short term financial flexibility.
  • Review leverage using debt ratios to understand how much of the business is funded by debt vs. equity.

Filters​

Use the filtering panel at the top of the CFO Financial Performance Overview dashboard to control which data is shown. The filters apply to all views and ensure the dashboard reflects the selections you choose.

Key performance indicators (KPIs)​

The key performance indicators (KPIs) are displayed at the top of the dashboard, grouped into four categories: performance, profitability, liquidity, and leverage. They update based on the filters you apply.

Performance KPIs​

Revenue YTDTotal sales revenue accumulated year to date.
Gross Profit YTDRevenue minus cost of goods sold, accumulated year to date.
Gross Profit YTD Margin %Gross profit as a percentage of revenue, showing how much margin is retained after direct costs.
Net Income YTDFinal profit after all expenses, accumulated year to date.

Profitability KPIs​

KPIWhat it measures
Return on Assets (ROA)Net income relative to total assets, measuring how efficiently assets generate profit.
Return on Equity (ROE)Net income relative to shareholder equity, measuring the return generated on invested capital.
Operating Expenses RatioOperating expenses as a percentage of revenue, showing how much revenue goes to operating costs.
Return on Capital Empl. (ROCE)Earnings relative to total capital employed, measuring how efficiently all capital is being used.

Liquidity KPIs​

Working Capital YTDCurrent assets minus current liabilities for the current year, indicating short term financial capacity.
Working Capital LYTDWorking capital for the same period last year, used as a comparison baseline.
Current RatioCurrent assets divided by current liabilities, where a value above 1 indicates the ability to cover short term obligations.
Working Capital TurnoverRevenue divided by working capital, showing how efficiently working capital generates sales.

Leverage KPIs​

Debt to Capital RatioTotal debt relative to total capital (debt + equity), showing how much of the capital structure is debt.
Debt to Assets RatioTotal debt relative to total assets, indicating how much of the asset base is financed by debt.
Debt RatioTotal liabilities relative to total assets, a broader measure of overall indebtedness.
Debt to Equity RatioTotal debt relative to shareholder equity, showing the balance between debt and equity financing.
