Manufacturing Orders
The Manufacturing Orders dashboard for Sage 300 counts manufacturing orders and tracks their quantity, cost, and completion progress. It includes quantity ordered and produced, projected and actual cost, and the top items and orders by cost, order count, and processing days.
How to use the manufacturing orders dashboard
- Count manufacturing orders and the quantity ordered and produced.
- Compare projected cost with actual cost to see the variance.
- Rank items by cost and by number of orders.
- Read the order fulfillment split for the selected period.
- Follow processing days for the top manufacturing orders.
Filters
Use the filtering panel at the top of the Executive Sales & Profit Summary dashboard to control which data is shown. The filters apply to all views and ensure the dashboard reflects the selections you choose.

BOM Number: multiple values
BOM Components: multiple values
Work Center: multiple values
Key performance indicators (KPIs)
The key performance indicators (KPIs) at the top of the dashboard show seven manufacturing order measures for the selected period, and update based on the filters you apply.
| KPI | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Number of Orders | Total number of manufacturing orders in the selected period. |
| Qty Ordered | Total quantity ordered across those manufacturing orders. |
| Qty Produced | Total quantity produced so far against the quantity ordered. |
| Total Order % Complete | Quantity produced divided by quantity ordered, shown as a percentage. |
| Total Order Projected Cost | Total cost expected for the manufacturing orders. |
| Total Order Actual Cost | Total cost incurred so far for the manufacturing orders. |
| Order Actual vs Projected Variance | Actual cost compared with projected cost, positive when actual cost is higher and negative when it is lower. |
